Today was a simple but memorable day filled with delicious food, peaceful moments, and unexpected discoveries. My brother and I enjoyed trying new flavors, visiting a beautiful church, and spending time reflecting on our personal prayers.
Our day started with buying signature matcha drinks. We enjoyed the smooth and refreshing taste of matcha. Matcha is a special type of powdered green tea from Japan that has a unique flavor and is popular around the world.
After that, we visited a Korean restaurant called Korean Top Chef. We ordered some delicious Korean dishes. We tried chicken deopbap, which is a Korean rice bowl topped with chicken. We also ordered beef bulgogi bibimbap, a popular Korean dish made with rice, vegetables, and sweet marinated beef.
We also tasted topokki with original sauce. Topokki, also called tteokbokki, is a famous Korean street food made with chewy rice cakes and spicy sauce.
For dessert, we had a Samanco matcha flavor ice cream sandwich. It was good enough for sharing because the size and taste were enjoyable. The combination of sweet ice cream and matcha flavor made it a nice ending to our meal.
The restaurant was also selling a wide variety of Korean products.
After eating, we went to St. Therese Church. We lit a few candles and prayed. We asked for the intercession of Padre Pio for our personal prayers. The peaceful atmosphere of the church gave us time to reflect, pray, and feel thankful. We also took photos because it is one of our favorite churches.
Later, we went to the nearest lottery outlet to try our luck. It was a small experience that brought excitement and curiosity. After that, we visited a Mercury Drug Store to buy prescription medicine.
Instead of riding home, we decided to walk. When we checked the Huawei SmartWatch, we discovered that we walked more than 5,000 steps! Walking helped us enjoy the surroundings and gave us some exercise.
While walking home, we saw many people on the streets. Then we remembered that it was the Feast of San Antonio. Many people were walking, probably joining the celebration and activities connected to the feast.
It was a day full of different experiences—good food, prayer, exercise, and moments of appreciation. Sometimes ordinary days become special because we spend them with people who matter to us.
